For my site: TennesseeHomesForSale.com an internet marketing skill I used was creating a bunch of pages with different cities.
For a great example view these:
First I add a "Learn" link on the home page.
Second you add sub pages that will make it so those looking at your site can easily access the city their looking for!
A great example is the following list placed below Major Cities:
Nashville TN Homes
-Antioch TN Homes
-Brentwood TN Homes
-Franklin TN Homes
-Gatlinburg TN Homes
-Goodlettsville TN Homes
-Hendersonville TN Homes
-Mount Juliet TN Homes

-Spring Hill TN Homes
& by bolding the main city (Nashville) you can easily see that the other cities are smaller cities by Nashville.
It also helps by on each individual page putting links to all the home listings so it's easy access for those viewing. A great example is at the bottom of Nashville TN Homes you can find this:
